Viruses are can be very sophisticated programs, since they manage to replicate and infect executables without the user's knowledge. Given their functionality, viruses are extraordinarily compact and usually rely on clever assembly tricks to be successful. Seeing how interesting they are, I publish viruses for learning purposes, not for destructive ones.
